HOW MUCH MONEY TO BRING?

We recommend taking a bit of cash (always in euros), credit cards in Portugal are accepted and there are ATMs almost everywhere, so a lot of cash will not be needed. In everyday life, as a rule, small banknotes and coins. Large banknotes (200, 500 EUR) are not always able to exchange or give change.

Going to local authentic restaurants and coffee houses is the best way to get into the local flavor. Lunch of fresh fish on the grill with a side dish and the first will cost around 10-15 Euros.

In supermarkets located nearby, you can always buy fresh fruits, wine, groceries and everything you need.

FOOD, PARTIES AND WHAT TO DO BESIDES SURFING?

We can offer a list of excursions by our partners to the most memorable historical places in Portugal.

Our instructors, guides and just friends who have been living in Portugal for a long time will be happy to advise you to visit local fish restaurants, cafes, views, cliffs, and other attractions that only residents can know about.

In addition, in the vicinity of Baleal and Peniche there are more than enough various cafes and restaurants suitable for both an economical snack between surfing and a quick lunch, and for a delicious unhurried dinner with a large assortment of seafood and wine.

Closer to midnight, surfers of all ages and nationalities usually gather in local bars, where fun and dancing, especially on weekends, can continue until the morning.

WEATHER. WHAT SEASON IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? THE TEMPERATURE OF AIR AND WATER.

Almost all year in Portugal, the weather is fine and sunny, except for the winter (December, January, February) months. But even in these months, the sun often shines, and the weather is conducive to visiting this country for tourist purposes. However, in order to teach surfing, it is better to plan a trip in the seasonal months – from May until the end of November. It is during these months in Portugal that warmer weather sets in, the waves are more suitable for learning, and the ocean becomes warmer.
